AstroTurf: The Interviews. #12 Bianca Carrozzo

1. Who are you? Hola! My name is Bianca Carrozzo but most people know me as ‘B’. I’m the type of person who you hear before you see with a passion for anything theatre and performance based in a tiny 5ft 1 frame. Yes, I was that High School Musical obsessed fangirl who knew all the lyrics and dance moves to ‘Bop to the Top’.

2. What city do you live in? I am a true Inner West Sydney city sleeker who knows NSW transport like the back of my hand and enjoys starting the day with a lovely Dirty Chai Latte.

3. Besides making wonderful things with Big One Little One, what do you do? Apart from being an endless daydreamer, Musical Theatre devotee and squatting enthusiast, I am happily making creative madness, currently studying a Bachelor of Communications (Theatre/Media) at Charles Sturt University. I am also one half of the dynamic duo Set Design team of the BATS season production of ‘Plaza Suite’ by Neil Simon and helping glam-mas and yummy Mummy’s find their sense of style and trendiness as a fashion consultant at Myer Sydney City.

4. Who or what do you love? Besides my adoration for my family, culture and friends; the first thing that comes to mine about the things that I love would be singing. No matter what mood or state myself or my voice is in, there is always time for a good karaoke, singalong and yodeling session. No excuses. A close second would be chocolate. I’m a very intense chocoholic that believes chocolate is the cure for anything and everything. It has and will always be there for me no matter what and feels like my second family.

5. Describe the most recent time you fell in love with someone/something strange? Recently I have made the very ‘white girl’ drink, the Chai Latte added to the list of being one of the ‘great loves’ of my so-called life…even though I was blonde enough thinking at had coffee in it because it had ‘latte’. Oops.

6. (Without giving away any secrets) how would you describe I might just take you on the AstroTurf? I might just take you on the AstroTurf is a theatre experience that allows the participants to basically become apart of their own ‘extreme interactive romantic comedy’. They’ve basically thrown into the deep end with no idea what each corner and moment will lead them into. Enter if you dare…

7. What song reminds you of AstroTurf? It’s Not Unusual by Tom Jones. It’s such a happy upbeat song that no matter where you are, what mood you’re in, what day it is or who you’re with it is the type of song that will get you on your foot dancing like a goof, feeling all loved and chuffed without a care in the world. Oh baby!

I might just take you on the AstroTurf opens on Friday July 25 at Bathurst Uniting Church Hall. Tickets at trybooking.com/91594
